Antique Knights of Pythias Fob. The Knights of Pythias is a benevolent fraternal secret organization founded in Washington, D.C. in 1864. There are more than 50,000 members world-wide. The order was inspired by the tale of Damon and Pythias and its message of loyalty, honor and brotherhood.
This antique gold filled fob features a shield of blue, yellow and red glass enamel triangles centered within a hand-engraved decorative border. The letters FCB stand for friendship, charity and benevolence. Two swords are passing through, and the shield is topped with the bust of a knight. 1 1/8" tall.
